All waxed up!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

The weather is just totally insane. Earlier this week, we had high humidity and hot temperatures. I'm wearing my sweatshirt this morning, and it's only 14 outside. Zero humidity. I'm not complaining—I can put on more clothes, but it changes so much from day to day that you don't know what to wear!

Sadly, we are leaving later today. I'm not ready!!! I have a lot of stuff to do at home, so I guess I'm good to go. Plus, those two girls will be very excited to see me.

I've been ...

Scrap-a-palooza!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

AH -- you make me blush! But thanks for the comments about the scrap quilts, but I have to say that I'm HOOKED! That influencer - Linda!

Now here's the thing - I was NOT interested in precutting my scraps - not in the least. I had tried it in the past by cutting some fat quarters into strips and I was totally uninspired and I'll be handing that to Diane soon. But this? I now have a couple of patterns in mind and we had a chat last night and I now have a couple more.

So are you anxious ...

Who wears it best? from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm up EARLY  -- the blog post should be on time!

I had two more successful events yesterday, and those attendees went home knowing a lot more about what they could do with their PFAFF sewing machines and loads of inspiration for making quilts. I came away with a list of samples I want to make to improve the presentation!

Thank you to Patrick and Peachtree Quilt Shop for a fantastic couple of days! Loads of fun, and I got to meet some new people.

So where am I next? The next stop (work-wise) is Quilt Canada in Halifax. So ...

Used book stores are a treasure trouve from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I'm sick! ACK -- how did this happen? I do not have time to be sick, but it happened, and I'll have to deal with it.

Yesterday was a first for me at a retreat. I did NOTHING. I didn't even turn on my machine. In the morning, we went to the bookstore to pick up stuff we didn't have cash for the day before. We returned to the house for lunch, and the first of two Zoom calls for the day.

I went for a walk and then had a good long nap. Got up to ...

I'm strapped from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Oh my gosh --- what a wild night we had. I'm unsure if I'm sick, but I didn't feel well when I went to bed. I was up several times but seem to be fine now, so let's hope all is well! I have no time to be sick!

I am definitely sewing in slow-motion mode -- since I've arrived, I've finished serving one T-shirt and made two small backpacks! Let's say that the backpack was a challenge! It was not a commercial pattern which is OK, but the person who wrote it could have ...

It's all about the books from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

When I look back at the pictures that I've taken the previous day, sometimes I'm amazed at the quantity. Yikes!! No wonder my phone runs out of space from time to time. I guess it's going to be time soon to download the photos and I really need to go through them and delete those that are not necessary. Which is most of them since they are mostly taken so I can write the blog or a homework assignment!

The day started off with my workshop with a local guild. The Etobicoke Quilter's Guild. They have ...

Pink - lots of pink! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

OK - I'm now obsessed (possessed) with this darn clean up thing. There was a pile of stuff in the living room and it was getting out of hand. So I loaded up the car and I was off to the recycling depot. Got rid of 7 or 8 boxes of stuff. Phew - that feels good and the living room looks a whole lot better. There's some stuff slated to go to the retreat with me next week, but there's still a couple of things that I need to get in touch with the person who said they ...

A day of discovery from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

What a super day yesterday was! Despite the rainy start to the day, it was a super day.

I did a very brave thing before I left the house. I decided to use the navigation screen in my car instead of my stand-alone GPS. The last time I tried to use it (months ago), I was very unhappy and I didn't bother to try again. Why was I unhappy? It was how you started it up. Plug into the car, turn on two apps and then it might work. Nope - I was so disgusted that I just used the ...
